Will Santa Cancel Christmas?

Will Santa cancel Christmas? A note stuck on Santa's door says "Cancel Christmas or else..." What will Santa do? In an attempt to end Christmas for the children, Bogwig, the King of the evil trolls, lures Santa to the great ice caves of the North Pole. Can the elves save Santa? Will there be a Christmas? Will Bogwig succeed? Find out at the Eagle Rock High School auditorium on Dec 7th, 8th @ 7pm and December 9th @ 4pm.

The play, Cancel Christmas, written by Sam Younghans and directed Russell Copley, will star a collection of talented and charming high school actors, actresses and dancers, the legendary jazz band and a full choir. This production will feature the exquisite musical talents of Greg Samuel, with vocal direction by Rachel Lee, choreography by Erin Campbell, and original lyrics and music by Paula Samonte and Sam Younghans.

The book Cancel Christmas was adapted from the play into an exciting children's Christmas story. The book was written for adults to read to children, the print is large, there is humor, excitement and surprises galore. The author will be present to sing autographed copies of the book.

Cancel Christmas was first produced at The Sebastiani Theater in Sonoma California in 1976. It ran successfully for three consecutive seasons. Later, other theater groups in Northern California produced it, also with great success. It has been produced in Sonoma, Petaluma, San Rafael, Escondido, San Diego, Huntington Beach and this year at the Eagle Rock High School. An interesting note: A section of the famous Christo's Running Fence was used as a back drop in the original production, and will also be used by Eagle Rock Stage. Christo is famed for his huge artistic projects.
